THE SOUND OF A PAINTING
Directed by Josh Litman, Léopold Dewolf
Produced by Josh Litman, Léopold Dewolf
France, 2020
11 min
As identical twin sound engineers Angel and Clément celebrate the opening of their new recording studio, one of the brothers makes a startling confession about a past relationship.
A film that feels both magical and meditative at the same time, The Sound of a Painting is bizarre, but I couldn’t look away. It explores love, deception, and betrayal. The camerawork and sound design are stunning and enhance the tactical feel of the film. This one will still have you scratching your head days later.
