A HOLE

Directed by James Solomon

Produced by Lissandra Leite

New Zealand, 2019

14 min

A skilled workman digs a perfect hole in a cracked earthen plain in an endless warehouse, a series of well-dressed people come and sit on comfortable couches offering contradictory opinions, and the job gradually unravels.

If you have ever had tough clients, especially if you have ever worked in advertising, A HOLE is for you! This is easily one of my favorite short films of all time. With characters that are tragically true to life, this film makes you want to either laugh hysterically or weep into your ice cream. As someone who has worked in advertising for many years, A HOLE makes me feel seen and I want to share it with everyone I have ever worked with. I can’t say enough good things about this film; I will continue to share it with friends for years to come.
