NO CRYING AT THE DINNER TABLE
Carol Nguyen
Filmmaker Carol Nguyen interviews her family to craft a portrait of love, grief and intergenerational trauma.
NO CRYING AT THE DINNER TABLE is maybe my favorite film of the entire festival. Carol Nguyen asks each of her family members to disclose a secret and the result is a simple but emotional film that I can’t stop thinking about. NO CRYING AT THE DINNER TABLE made me rethink my relationships in my own family, and made me wonder what secrets people in my life are carrying close to their hearts. — Jillian C (Programmer)
