DO NOT SPLIT

Anders Hammer

The story of the 2019 Hong Kong protests, told through a season of demonstrations by local protestors that escalate into conflict when highly armed police appear on the scene.

So often, documentary films recount events that have already happened, but DO NOT SPLIT slams us down into the streets of the Hong Kong protests, putting the viewer directly in the action. So much of what is happening parallels what we’re seeing in the U.S. now, and the passion of the protesters translates through the screen. While watching this film, you are a protestor yourself, being tear gassed by the police, fighting for your rights, and surrounded by chaos. — Jillian C (Programmer)
